The Story Of Pink Dragonfly
I wasn’t happy with the name but I was absolutely sure that I wouldn’t change my business name to something that didn’t mean something really special me;

For me, the birth of Pink Dragonfly was a long awaited emergence and really not dissimilar to the actual journey that a Dragonfly goes through.
So, why Pink Dragonfly?

The Pink
Nothing against the male species at all, and I love bouncing ideas off my lovely Mr H but women are my dream clients and that’s what I wanted to stick with.
When it comes to my zone of genius, when it really boils down to where I’ve come from and what I’ve done, then I’m a woman, a business woman who has worked at some of the highest levels within strategic management teams and I am absolutely attuned to what running a business is like for a female business owner.
And, I wanted the stereotypical pink – I make no apologies for that one. I love pink (and purple) they have been my logo colours for the past 7 years and I wanted to bring them with me. And I have a splash of pink in almost everything I do, wear or work with – be it a pen, a watch strap, a notebook or a scarf!
And now for the dragonfly…. (believe me, I tussled with Damsel Flies and Butterflies for a while)
The Dragonfly….
I’ve had an affinity with Dragonflies for years.
I remember seeing a swarm of them one year when I was on holiday and being totally transfixed by them.
I’ve always been fascinated with how much time they spend under water, cocooned away, transforming themselves & becoming the amazing and beautiful creatures that they were destined to be.
And then about 18 months ago I saw this wall paper…… in a posh toilet. It entranced me so much that I took a picture of it!
And I knew there and then that the Dragonflies were not going away.
Dragonflies are associated with;

Transformation & change

All the key elements I believe that we, as business women, need to have at our fingertips.
And this is the crux of it for me. Helping women to transform their business and not only grow as a business woman but also how they believe in themselves is so important to me.
When you’re a woman in business it can often be a lonely place and we need all the courage and strength we can muster sometimes. And we need to remember that we don’t have to do it alone!
When I work with women and see them transform into confident individuals who have compelling business visions and aren’t afraid to step into their CEO roles then I know that I’ve done my job.
Dragonflies fly without effort and change directions quickly. They invite you to embrace flexibility and adaptability. So, never be afraid to change directions – you’ll often hear me saying on my lives, videos and in posts that it’s your business and you can change your plan whenever you want – it’s whatever works for you!
This totally sums up my ethos around the ladies I work with and the clients I want to attract.
Women who know that they can do something different with their business, who know they can transform what they have into something better.
And it’s my mission to work with as many women as possible to enable them to do this.
