Despite the crappy old rainy and cold weather this week, we’re at the end of March already! Here was I thinking that summer was upon us as we had glorious sunshine and blue skies for a few days…

 

But it was not to be… and a reminder that it is only really the start of Spring.

And the start of spring brings

  • The end of march
  • The end of the 1st quarter for 2022
  • The end of the financial year (almost)

And as I write this in the cold and gloomy cabin, I wonder what this means for you in your business. What actions, processes and activities will you be doing over the course of these next few days to collect all that information together for these last few months?

Maybe you don’t do month-end reviews. Maybe you should.

It would be a hell of a lot easier to conduct a 90 Day Review and Planning session if you already had that to hand – wouldn’t it?

All of that stuff, that information, those figures and detail… no matter how uncomfortable some of it might be, is the stuff that gives you the knowledge and power in your business to decide what actions you want to take for the next 90 days.

We can very often bury our heads in the sand when it comes to dealing with some of the facts and figures in our businesses.

Especially if it’s areas of our business that we don’t like or don’t come naturally, or we’re comparing ourselves with other people – then we miss out on a load of juicy data and information that could actually help us to transform our business and take it in the direction we want it to go.

Looking at our business holistically is the only way to get really clear about what needs to be done. Taking the whole thing, without missing vital pieces of information and activity, is the key to help us make different and better choices for our business in the next phase of the year.

So as we approach these key milestones and markers in the calendar, I’d really encourage you to take some time out to focus on

  • The sales
  • The marketing & pr activity in your business
  • The income & expenditure
  • The results
  • The challenges
  • The opportunities
