When we get to this time of year, it’s usually the case that we’re feeling a little jaded, frayed around the edges and ready for a break.
After all, if you’ve been consistently showing up in your business, working to create pipelines of clients and customers, network, social media, do your “thing” and sort your accounts out… no wonder you’re feeling it – right?
Pile into that mix, a dose of Covid, some self-isolation, time away from loved ones, Tiers no one can understand or keep up with, homeschooling, no schooling, lack of sales, customers, having to “pivot” etc etc etc then is it any wonder that most of us are feeling totally knackered and close to breaking point.
Instead of gliding gracefully into Christmas, we’re more likely to be sliding into shortbread tin and gargling with a Baileys! (I couldn’t possibly comment 😉 )
So what can you do?
First of all, you can cut yourself some slack.
NOTHING is going to implode if it’s not finished before you break up for Xmas.
Nothing is going to go wrong with your business if you don’t have your flipping 2021 marketing strategy and business plan complete before 31st December.
Think of all the people who planned out 2020 immaculately – where did that get them? And I’m not being mean, I’m just trying to explain why planning out a whole 12 months can be completely wrong for your business.
I’m not a huge advocate of long term planning. I do believe you should have your Compelling Business vision and your overarching goals – but planning out the detail? Nope, not for me.
That’s why I’m an advocate of 90-day planning. It gives you flexibility and choice and goodness knows that we’ve needed that this year more than any.
Being able to adapt and amend what you want to achieve while keeping an eye on the prize is a key to success.
Baby steps and giant leaps…they come and go.
Everything is a cycle. And as we rise, we also fall.
So, please, I urge you take your foot off the pedal, just for a while.
What else can you do?
Review your year – find the good stuff, the little gains, the moments of pleasure, the feedback, and the joy. Find the wins, no matter how small. They are there – even during this shit show of a year!
Really reflect on where you are and where you want to be.
Maybe set an intention, let go of limiting beliefs and then take a break.
If you fancy doing a bit of that and actually affording yourself some quality time, then come and join me over in Build your Brilliant Business with Anna on Wednesday 16th December for our mini biz review and intention setting session.
And if you want to completely switch off and still be assured that you’ll start the New Year all guns blazing then how about joining the 90 Day Success Club?
If you really desire to have total clarity about your business goals, get realistic about where you are right now and where you want to be and to get cracking to transform your business with outcome-focused action planning and getting sh*t done then it’s for you!
Find out more about it here – and if you fancy getting signed up and ready for the New Year then don’t delay as places are filling up fast.
Kick back, open the Pringles and pour yourself a Bailey’s…. all bets are off!
